The restoration plans have been drawn up by specialist conservation architects and there will be ongoing consultation with the Conservation Officer at Cotswold District Council to obtain the necessary consents and approval.

Work on the Corn Hall will focus on creating a flexible space for community use that meets modern standards. One of the primary aims is to enable the popular Crafts and Antiques markets to continue trading there and to retain the Visitor Information Centre.

Modern additions will be removed to reveal the original architecture of the Hall whilst offices and storage rooms in the passage leading to the Market Place will be converted into a selection of small shops to create an attractive arcade.

The aim for the King’s Head is to provide a first class hotel. The refurbished hotel will offer 40 en-suite bedrooms, a selection of bars, a signature restaurant, private dining rooms and conference facilities. The Assembly Rooms Banqueting Hall will also be reinstated.
